Spider-Man Holds 50 Percent Occupancy Into Its First Weekday, a Number Weekends Rarely Manage
281.75 crore net in five days. The first Monday usually breaks an opening's momentum; this one barely dented it.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day added 23.80 crore net on its first Monday, holding a 50.1 percent occupancy across 16,874 shows and taking the five-day India total to 281.75 crore net on a gross of 336.91 crore. A weekday collection of that size, on the day openings typically fall hardest, is a genuinely unusual number.
The context makes it more striking. Most Hollywood tentpoles lose more than half their opening-day pace by the first Monday; this one is still filling a quarter of its seats nationwide on a working day. Trade estimates have the film on course to cross Avengers: Endgame's entire first-week India total within its own first week, a comparison no solo Spider-Man release has drawn before.
Globally the film has now confirmed its place as the second-biggest opening weekend in box office history at roughly 927 million dollars, trailing only Endgame's 1.22 billion dollar debut. With India contributing among the top five markets worldwide, the film's first full week is shaping up as one of the largest any Hollywood title has posted here.
