The Odyssey Crosses 2,700 Crore Worldwide: Reading Nolan's Global Map
India is a fraction of a much larger number. Here is how the opening breaks down across markets, and what it means for the India run ahead.

The Odyssey has crossed roughly 2,700 crore worldwide in its opening days, with North America alone contributing close to 141 million dollars. Against that scale, India's opening weekend of 61.3 crore, historic as it is domestically, is a small slice of a global event.
The pattern matters for what comes next. Nolan's India releases have consistently under-indexed relative to his global numbers, because IMAX penetration here remains far below the US, UK or China. That gap is also the opportunity: as more Indian cities add large-format screens, each successive Nolan release has closed the distance a little further.
Oppenheimer's India trajectory is the comparison the trade keeps returning to: modest by Hollywood-blockbuster standards on opening weekend, but a film that kept earning steadily for weeks on repeat viewings and word of mouth in tier-one cities. The Odyssey's early weekday numbers suggest a similar shape is forming.
