The Odyssey Bounces Back on Tuesday, Eyes a Quick Century

A 23 percent jump to 10.25 crore on discounted Tuesday takes the five-day total to 79.9 crore, with 100 crore in sight before the second weekend.

The Odyssey collected 10.25 crore net on Tuesday, up 23 percent from Monday's 8.35 crore, taking its India total to 79.9 crore in five days. National Cinema Day-style discounted Tuesday pricing is the usual driver of this kind of bounce, and this one landed on schedule.

The shape of the week now reads like a textbook premium-format release: a big weekend, a real Monday fall, and a Tuesday recovery as lower ticket prices pull back the price-sensitive slice of the audience the weekend rate had priced out.

At this run rate the film should clear 100 crore net comfortably before its second weekend, a threshold that would put it within range of Oppenheimer's India lifetime total inside two weeks rather than three.

Dhamaal 4 posted a similar Tuesday pattern, up 15 percent to 3.75 crore and now 128.5 crore in twelve days, closing in on Welcome to the Jungle's full run. Both films now have a clear runway with no new Hindi or English release until Friday week.
