Jana Nayagan's Second Saturday Beat Seven Other Films to Their Own Day-Ten Number
7.80 crore on day ten, up 119.7 percent on Friday. The film has now crossed 277 crore worldwide, but the weekday collapse before it was real.

Jana Nayagan has reached 164.90 crore net in India after ten days, on a gross of 192.50 crore, with the worldwide total now past 277 crore once the 85 crore overseas figure is added in. The second Saturday delivered exactly the bounce the film needed: 7.80 crore, more than double Friday's 3.55 crore, and enough to beat the day-ten collections of seven other 2026 releases including Raja Shivaji and Alpha.
That bounce matters because the week before it was genuinely weak. From a 42.70 crore opening day, the film fell in an almost unbroken line through the first week, closing day eight at 4.05 crore and day nine at a mere 3.55 crore, a decline of nearly 92 percent from where it started. A film carrying this much cultural weight rarely shows a graph that blunt.
The second weekend was always going to be the real test of whether Jana Nayagan is a five-day event or a genuine theatrical run. Saturday's answer, at least, was encouraging. Sunday will tell the rest of it.
