Jana Nayagan Is Within Sight of 300 Crore Worldwide After a Second Weekend That Actually Held
10.70 crore on the second Sunday, up 37 percent on Saturday. The weekday collapse before it is still the more honest story.

Jana Nayagan closed its second weekend at 175.60 crore net in India, on a gross of 204.92 crore, with the worldwide total now at approximately 295.92 crore once the 91 crore overseas figure is folded in. The second Sunday added 10.70 crore, a 37 percent jump on Saturday's already-improved 7.80 crore, giving the film back-to-back growth days for the first time since its opening weekend.
That is a genuinely good outcome for a film whose first week had looked shaky. From a 42.70 crore opening day, the collections fell in an almost straight line through the following week, bottoming out at 3.55 crore on day nine, a decline of nearly 92 percent from where it started. A second weekend that grows rather than merely stabilises is not something that run had earned on its own momentum.
With no major new release contesting Tamil screens this week, the film now has a genuinely clear run at 300 crore worldwide, a mark that would put Vijay's final release comfortably among 2026's biggest Tamil earners regardless of how the story around it has wobbled.
