Drishyam 3 Has the Best Date on the Second Half of the Calendar
2 October, Gandhi Jayanti weekend, a full month before Diwali, and a franchise that has never needed a big opening to finish big.

Drishyam 3 lists on 2 October, taking the Gandhi Jayanti weekend, and on paper it is the most comfortable date any Hindi film has claimed in the second half of 2026.
The logic is in the gap. It opens a clear month before the Diwali corridor where Ramayana and the year's largest productions will fight for screens, and it arrives into a holiday weekend with no comparable Hindi competition announced.
The franchise's own pattern makes the date matter more than usual. Drishyam films have never opened enormous; they build across weekdays on word of mouth, which requires exactly the kind of uncontested run this window offers. Drishyam 2 finished at ₹240.5 crore net on that shape.
Filming wrapped in late January and no teaser has arrived yet, which is consistent with a series that has always run short, tightly controlled campaigns rather than giving away plot. Expect the first material closer to September.
