AA23 Is Not Shelved, Says Tamil Trade Tracker, as Rumours Spread
Allu Arjun and Lokesh Kanagaraj's long-gestating project is still in scripting and pre-production, despite social media reports of a cancellation.

Rumours that AA23, the announced collaboration between Allu Arjun and director Lokesh Kanagaraj, had been shelved spread across social media this week. Tamil industry tracker Ramesh Bala has called the reports baseless, saying the film remains in active development.
Neither the actor, the director nor the production house has issued an official statement addressing the cancellation claims directly, which in the trade's own arithmetic usually means a story has outrun the facts.
The scale of the pairing explains why any silence gets read as trouble. Allu Arjun is coming off Pushpa 2's record-breaking run, and Lokesh Kanagaraj has become the most in-demand action director in the country. A project this large moving slowly through scripting is normal; a project this large going quiet invites speculation regardless.
