Tom Holland
Tom Holland Has Two Films in Indian Cinemas Within a Fortnight
The Odyssey is past 100 crore gross. Spider-Man: Brand New Day lists on 31 July. No other actor is having a July like this here.
Tom Holland is about to occupy Indian screens twice over inside two weeks. The Odyssey has already crossed ₹100 crore gross here, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day lists on 31 July carrying the highest BookMyShow tracking of anything on the calendar at 6.36 lakh interests.
The two films could not be more different as commercial propositions. Nolan sells premium formats to the metro multiplex in English; Spider-Man sells to the whole country in four languages, and its Hindi version alone will likely out-earn The Odyssey's entire dubbed business.
For Indian exhibitors it is an unusually comfortable problem: back-to-back Hollywood titles with genuinely separate audiences, arriving in a month where the Hindi slate has already delivered its own century in Dhamaal 4.
