Matt Damon
Matt Damon Leads the Best-Reviewed Film of Nolan's Career
Third collaboration, first time carrying the picture, and a 95 percent score that sits above The Dark Knight.
Matt Damon has worked with Christopher Nolan before, in Interstellar and Oppenheimer, but never as the man the film rests on. The Odyssey hands him Odysseus and, at 95 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, the best notices of the director's entire filmography.
It is a late-career shape that few actors of his generation have managed: not a franchise, not a legacy sequel, but the lead of an original epic at the largest possible scale, in a year when very few of those get made at all.
In India the film has crossed ₹100 crore gross in six days, with nearly four-fifths of that from the original English version, which means the audience here watched him rather than a dubbed approximation of him.
