Toxic's opening day alone, 101.10 crore net, was the biggest single-day number any South Indian film has posted in the Hindi market this year, and the film crossed 300 crore worldwide within its first week. By any conventional read, that's the kind of start that defines a film's run. What happened over the following six days complicates that picture considerably.

Day 2 fell to 37.65 crore, already a steep 63 percent drop. By Day 6 the film was collecting 7.65 crore, and Day 7 brought in just 0.98 crore, a decline of roughly 99 percent from the opening figure inside a single week. Total India net for the seven days sits at 222.73 crore, a number that looks entirely different depending on whether you're reading it against the Day 1 headline or the Day 7 trend line.
