Netflix Secures Cocktail 2, Streaming Worldwide From 14 August

Netflix has secured the streaming rights to Cocktail 2, with the film set to premiere worldwide on the platform from 14 August 2026. The ensemble drama stars Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri and Rashmika Mandanna.

The gap between theatrical release and streaming premiere has settled into a familiar rhythm for mid-to-large Hindi releases this year, with studios balancing a full theatrical run against the pressure to get a film onto a platform before piracy erodes its value.

For Netflix, the deal continues a run of high-profile Hindi acquisitions this year, and gives the platform a starry ensemble title to anchor its August slate.
