I'm Game has crossed 10.30 crore net in India after two days, according to Sacnilk, with Day 2 collections of 4.90 crore following a 5.40 crore opening on Thursday, a dip of just under 10 percent. For Dulquer Salmaan's homecoming to Malayalam cinema, that is a notably steadier hold than his last solo release, King of Kotha, which fell 62 percent on its second day back in 2023 after a similarly sized opening.

The film released across five languages simultaneously, with the Malayalam version doing the heaviest lifting: roughly 3.15 crore of the Day 2 total came from Malayalam shows alone, against smaller contributions from Tamil, Telugu and a marginal Hindi release. That spread reflects a deliberate strategy, after the makers pushed the film's date back from an original Onam-period slot to avoid competing directly in that crowded window.

Directed by Nahas Hidhayath, known for the stylised thriller RDX, the film follows a professional gambler played by Salmaan whose mathematical betting system starts working against him, sending his carefully ordered life into chaos. It opened alongside stiff competition from Nivin Pauly's Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, which was already running successfully in Kerala theatres, adding pressure on I'm Game to build its own word of mouth rather than simply ride Salmaan's fanbase through opening weekend.

Where the film goes next depends heavily on the two days ahead. A steadier fall than King of Kotha is an encouraging early sign, but Kurup, Salmaan's post-pandemic benchmark, crossed 30 crore worldwide in its first two days alone, a bar I'm Game has not come close to matching. The weekend numbers, still to come, will determine whether this settles in as a solid mid-range performer or something closer to a genuine hit for one of Malayalam cinema's most reliable box-office draws.
