Bollywood Breaks Its Silence: Kareena, Ananya, Alia and Others Back the CJP Student Protest

Kareena Kapoor Khan has publicly backed the CJP-led student protest over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, joining Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan in a wave of statements that arrived after days of criticism that Bollywood's biggest names had stayed silent while thousands marched from Jantar Mantar toward Parliament.

Kareena wrote that she had sat with the issue for several days before deciding she could not stay quiet any longer, saying children lose faith in education the moment they suspect honesty and merit no longer count, and that a generation speaking with one voice deserves to be heard rather than merely tolerated. Ananya Panday's note struck a similar register, arguing that questioning isn't disrespect and that the current generation is simply asking for fairness to be the baseline rather than the exception.

The protest itself, organised by the Cockroach Janta Party and centred at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, has been demanding accountability over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. It escalated after a march toward Parliament, and the issue has since been raised directly in the House, with the opposition citing over 150 paper leaks across the past decade.

For an industry that faced real criticism for its early silence, the sudden wave of statements is being read two ways in equal measure: as a genuine, overdue show of solidarity, and as a case study in how quickly public pressure can move an industry that usually prefers to stay above the fray.
