Awarapan 2 closed its opening day at 21 crore net on a 20 crore budget, recovering its cost within 24 hours and landing as an immediate Hit by the site's own verdict math. Batwara 1947 finished considerably softer at 5.75 crore, roughly a quarter of what Hashmi's film pulled in.
