The Odyssey Passes 135 Crore in India, Nolan's Biggest Run in the Country

The Odyssey has reached 135.38 crore net in India across fifteen days, on an India gross of 161.59 crore. It has passed Oppenheimer's India net and now sits inside the top twenty highest-grossing Hollywood releases in the country, making it comfortably Christopher Nolan's strongest run here.

The opening set the tone: 17.40 crore net on day one from 8,413 shows, against the 14.45 crore Oppenheimer managed, followed by a first week of 90.30 crore. Globally the film opened to 264 million dollars, 124.5 million of it in North America, the biggest worldwide debut of Nolan's career.

The second week held better than the usual Hollywood curve in India, driven by IMAX and premium formats where Nolan's films consistently overperform. That ended abruptly on day fourteen, when Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrived and the show count collapsed from thousands to 953, with the day's take at 1.18 crore. The film's theatrical ceiling here is now largely set.
